Hi everyone, the previous year I completed an honors thesis regarding Japanese scientific whaling. The primary questions asked were the following: 1) Did direct action [physical attacks] and passive actions of NGOs (Greenpeace and Sea Shepherd) obstruct the Japanese whaling? 2) Does the economic and socio-economic factors in Japan suggest a feasible commercial whale market? 3) Is international influence the primary motivator for Japanese strong position toward pro-whaling?
